Waimea Falls Valley and Falls Trails is an easy paved hike located in Haleiwa on Oahu’s North Shore. The trail is paved and relatively flat, so it’s perfect for people of all ages, even kids and older folks. Located in Waimea Valley, which is also a botanical garden, the trail features a variety of lush indigenous plant life and ends in the 45 ft Waimea Falls (also known as Wailele Falls) and the natural pool it feeds. The falls will of course be their most impressive after rain. This trail also provides a bit of history lesson – along the way you’ll find traditional Hawaiian Hales, the structures the native Hawaiians used as homes.
You can park alongside Waimea Valley Rd near the entrance of the park and trail or over at the Waimea Bay parking lot across the street.
