Beautiful Windward beach off the beaten path

The Beach

Makapuu Beach is centered on the eastern tip of Oahu, adjacent to Waimanalo & Kaupo Beach. This area is full of scenic views, and offers its visitors a relaxing spot to indulge in life outside of the city.

Whether you’re coming from the south or north, travelers can expect to see gorgeous views on their drive to this area as you curve around the cliffs and come upon the expansive blue waters in this eastern part of Oahu. Although this beach has some patches of rocks, it can still be a great place for snorkeling, and longboard surfing. Makapu’u is known for its prime bodyboarding conditions as well. Additionally, visitors have a chance of spotting humpback whales who frequent this areas waters during the months between November and April.
