Kailua Beach Park

One of the top most beautiful beaches on island with many activities for all ages

The Beach

Kailua Beach is an island wide favorite for both locals and visitors! This best beach is known for its 2.5 mile long stretch of sand and it being the top place for Kitesurfing and Windsurfing island wide. Kailua also provides a great launching point for kayakers heading to Popoi’a Island (also known as Flat Island). And if you’re just feeling like laying out in the sand, it’s 2.5 mile long white sandbar is perfect for catching a tan.

If you go on the weekend, expect crowds. It’ll even get crowded on the weekdays with tourists and locals off of work. If you’re feeling hungry just walk across the street and check out Kailua Town mainstay Buzz’s Steakhouse for pupus and drinks.

The Parking at Kailua Beach Park

This beach is often very crowded so parking is not always easy, but there are many spots in both the parking lots and along the fence on the grass in many areas.
