Magic Island Lagoon

Sheltered lagoon with calm waters great for swimming

The Beach

Located at the east end of Ala Moana Beach Park, Magic Island, is a grassy peninsula featured large seawalls and a sandy lagoon at the tip of the peninsula. The sheltered lagoon is great for swimming, even for smaller children that might not be able to handle the tide and waves of an unsheltered beach. The grassy park that covers the majority of Magic Island is dotted with large Monkeypod Trees and picnic benches, making it great for a weekend barbeque get together, and no doubt, you’ll see plenty of them there.

The scenic location with the towering hotels of Waikiki in the background make it a favorite for some wedding photo shoots. It’s always an interesting scene when a dozen people in dresses and tuxes contrast with the more casually dressed people in boardshorts and bikinis.

The Parking at Magic Island Lagoon

There’s a large parking lot at the entrance to Magic Island Lagoon.
